Due to the pandemic our project schedule as presented in our application is obsolete.
We have to reschedule all foreign meetings as soon as the situation will have calmed down and it will be possible to travel again without endangering anyone.
So far, we do not know when this will happen. We also do not know if this will happen within our timeframe. We have to observe the situation during the next months and will discuss our new schedule as soon as we know more.
As infection numbers of Covid-19 are going up presently and more restrictions from governments and school administrations are imposed, we will postpone any discussion and decision until the beginning of 2021.
Until then we will all work according to our second part of our project, the internal occupation with marine issues in all possible subjects.
All the participating schools are now back to the school business and are getting the regular schoolwork on its way under somewhat difficult circumstances. The virus and the accompanying rules are certainly not very helpful, but we have to face the situation and try and provide a sufficient education for our students.
In our application we left enough room for the integration of our issues in the regular classes. Eventually we will have a number of subjects, internal projects and presentations of students dealing with marine issues in classes of biology, history, chemistry, economics, English, French, arts and so on.
If possible, we will also start collaboration between students via internet. But for the time being this seems to be a secondary aim as requirements of regular classes have to prevail.
